    WOMEN LEADERSHIP PARADIGM: PRO AND CONTRA ON WOMEN AS LEADERS IN VARIOUS VIEWS

    The number of female workers is increasing and its role in leadership is giving its own perspective on the topic of women leadership. Pro and contra phenomenon related to women leadership still exist in the society. In addition to explain the paradigm of woman leadership, this study also explains the pro and contra of women leadership from various perspectives and provides an overview of how the pro and contra emerge. The method that was used in this study is literature study from the Al-Quran, books, journals and studies. The findings of this study shows that women leadership style leads to transformational, democratic, collaborative styles and have high relational value. Leadership is left to follow one's worth and ability from either men or women. If someone meets the requirements and deserves to be a leader even though from the women's group this remains true. The emergence of pro and contra is based on different point of views; every point of view has different concepts which lead to different practices. The results of an interpretation are not only come from the methods and approaches used, but are also influenced by their socio-cultural and ideological conditions

    Impact of Traditional Environmental Management Measures and Ecological Product Diversification on MSME Performance: Evidence of the Batik Industry in Central Java, Indonesia

    Research aims: This research aims to investigate the influence of traditional environmental management practices on corporate performance and determine the mediating role of ecological product diversification in this regard.Design/Methodology/Approach: To achieve these objectives, a research design was developed and tested using a sample of 138 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the batik industry in Central Java, Indonesia. Observation data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing Amos software.Research findings: The analysis results demonstrated that traditional environmental management and ecological product diversification had a direct positive impact on the performance of small and medium enterprises. However, these results did not confirm the mediating role of ecological product diversification.Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study provides convincing evidence regarding the impact of environmentally friendly product diversification on MSME performance. Therefore, MSMEs, especially those operating in the batik industry, are encouraged to diversify environmentally friendly products to increase competitiveness and adapt to people's concern for the environment in the current era (green economy). Practitioners/Policy implications: It is acknowledged that the overall results obtained from this research provide a significant contribution to the understanding of the importance of environmental management practices and environmentally-friendly product diversification to increase business efficiency in the context of MSMEs.Research limitations/Implications: This study had a limited scope and only covered the Central Java region. Subsequent research can further expand the scope of the research field

    This study aims to determine work culture in an effort to improve employee performance at PT X. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Collecting data in this study using triangulation of data sources, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Six informants were selected based on the principle of suitability(appropriateness) and sufficiency (adequacy).The results showed that PT X's work culture had benefits, namely the formation of a good work process, a more structured job, a faster problem-solving process and increased human resource capabilities. while the barriers in work culture are a lack of confidence, busy daily routines, inefficient organizational structure, lack of motivation and competence, lack of cohesiveness and employees who do not upgrade their abilities or knowledge

    Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu Usaha Air Minum di Kabupaten Demak terkait pelaksanaan aktivitas sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis peran aktivitas sosial dalam meningkatkan kinerja penjualan usaha air minum tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus, dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode (observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi). Pemilihan informan sebagai sumber informasi didasarkan pada prinsip kesesuaian (appropriateness) dan kecukupan (adequacy). Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari informan kunci dan informan pendukung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas sosial mempunyai pengaruh yang besar pada kinerja penjualan.Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Sosial, Kinerja Penjualan, Usaha Air Minu

    The Tlogo Kreasi Women's Skill Community, Tlogosari Kulon Village, is an SMME that stands based on the hobbies of some housewives in making crafts, and then traditionally sold between friends and local residents, though the community is getting bigger, they do not have the knowledge about proper financial management. This background, the community service team will encouraged their understanding and knowledge about how to prepare financial reports based on SAK EMKM, so they will understand and be able to apply proper financial reporting. The approach used in this case is a participatory training approach, through outreach and workshops. The material for this financial report based on the needs of the community who do not really understand the importance of financial reports as a support to the progress of community development. The results of this service are increased participant understanding and skills in making financial reports based on SAK EMKM.Komunitas ketrampilan Perempuan Tlogo Kreasi Kelurahan Tlogosari Kulon merupakan UMKM yang berdiri berdasarkan hobi para ibu-ibu rumah tangga dalam pembuatan kerajinan yang kemudian dijual secara tradisional antar teman dan warga sekitar. Meski komunitas tersebut semakin besar dan berkembang, namun tidak memiliki pengetahuan tentang pengelolaan keuangan dengan baik dan benar. Berlatar belakang tersebut, tim pengabdian terdorong untuk mensosialisasikan pemahaman serta pengetahuan tentang cara pembuatan laporan keuangan berdasarkan SAK EMKM, agar mereka semakin memahami dan mampu menerapkan pembuatan laporan keuangan yang benar dan tepat. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan participatory training, melalui penyuluhan dan workshop (pelatihan). Materi laporan keuangan ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan komunitas yang belum mengerti benar tentang pentingnya laporan keuangan sebagai pendukung kemajuan perkembangan komunitas.     How Innovativeness Influence on Women Business Performance

    The problem in this study is that there are still various controversies in the results of research regarding the relationship and influence between innovations on performance. In addition, there is also a gap, namely the increasing number of women's businesses on the one hand and on the other hand, the success of women's businesses tends to be lower than that of men's businesses. So this study aims to close the research gap, namely the influence of Innovativeness on business performance by mediating competitive advantage. The sample is 62 women entrepreneurs. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire via google form. The data analysis method uses SEM with the WrapPLS 7.0 program. The results show that Innovation has a significant positive effect on Competitive Advantage, but has no effect on Business Performance. Meanwhile, Competitive Advantage has a significant positive effect on Business Performance and has succeeded in becoming a mediator (full mediation) for Innovation and Business Performance.</em

    GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN GOOD GOVERNANCE SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN EXCELLENT SERVICE DAN KEPERCAYAAN MASYARAKAT (Studi Kasus Dinperindag Jawa Tengah)

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap penerapan prinsip good governance dalam upaya peningkatan excellent service untuk membangun kepercayaan publik di Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Jawa Tengah (Dinperindag Jateng). 100 responden digunakan untuk memberikan tanggapan tentang gaya kepemimpinan, penerapan prinsip good governance, kinerja pelayanan serta memberikan penilaian tingkat kepercayaannya terhadap Dinperindag Jateng. Selain itu informan kunci dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk menjustifikasi tanggapan atau pendapat dari para responden tersebut. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah mix methode dengan desain Sequential Explanatory. Model sequential explanatory dicirikan dengan melakukan pengumpulan data dan analisis data kuantitatif pada tahap pertama, dan diikuti dengan pengumpulan dan analisis data kualitatif pada tahap kedua, guna memperkuat hasil penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil Analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara garis besar masyarakat menilai implementasi dari good governance dan gaya kepemimpinan di lingkungan Dinperindag telah dinilai baik. Dinperindag telah mampu menciptakan pelayanan yang baik bagi masyarakat dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Dinperindag-pun dinilai cukup tinggi. Hasil lain yang diperoleh yaitu 1) kepemimpinan transformasional dapat mempengaruhi pelaksanaan dan implementasi good governance serta memberikan kepercayaan kepada masyarakat, 2) masa kepemimpinan yang pendek belum dapat membuktikan dampak dari gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pelayanan, 3) kinerja pelayanan yang baik akan membawa kepercayaan masyarakat, 4) pelaksanaan prinsip good governance dapat menciptakan excellent service untuk selanjutnya membawa kepercayaan terhadap masyarakat

    The problem in this study is the number of customer complaints at one of the Online Travel Agents (OTA) who stay at Hotel X Semarang which is allegedly caused by a condition between customer expectations and service quality. This study aims to analyze evidence of the physical effect (tangible), reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy on customer satisfaction at Hotel X Semarang. The population in this study were customers at Hotel X Semarang with an unknown number. While the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 96 respondents. From multiple linear regression analysis, the results shows that the variables of physical evidence (tangible), reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Hotel X Semarang.Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah banyaknya keluhan pelanggan pada salah satu Agen Perjalanan Online (OTA) yang menginap di Hotel X Semarang yang diduga disebabkan oleh kondisi antara harapan pelanggan dengan kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bukti pengaruh fisik (tangible), reliabilitas, daya tanggap, jaminan, dan empati terhadap kepuasan pelanggan di Hotel X Semarang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pelanggan Hotel X Semarang dengan jumlah yang tidak diketahui. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan 96 responden.     GOOD UNIVERSITY GOVERNANCE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN EXCELLENT SERVICE DAN KEPERCAYAAN MAHASISWA (Studi Kasus Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Semarang)

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dampak dari implementasi good university governace (GUG) dalam upaya peningkatan excellent service dan kepercayaan mahasiswa (Trust) di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Semarang. 225 responden digunakan untuk memberikan tanggapan pelaksanaan GUG, excellent service dan memberikan penilaian tingkat kepercayaannya terhadap Fakultas. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah metode student satisfaction index (SSI) dan structural equation modeling (SEM). Dengan menggunakan metode SSI ditemukan atribut layanan yang menjadi sasaran perbaikan kualitas layanan di FE USM yaitu efektifitas pembelajaran tentang kemudahan untuk bertemu dosen diluar kelas selama jam kerja dan pelayanan fasilitas (layanan sarana dan prasarana): kondisi sarana ibadah dan toilet di FE USM. Sedangkan hasil Analisis SEM menunjukkan bahwa GUG berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Excellent Service dan Excellent Service berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Trust. GUG secara langsung tidak berpengaruh terhadap Trust. Hal ini berarti bahwa pelaksanaan tata kelola universitas yang baik (GUG) tidak dapat langsung memberikan kepercayaan (Trust) terhadap mahasiswa tanpa adanya bukti nyata yang dapat dirasakan yaitu pelayanan yang prima (Excellent Service)

    INDUSTRY VALUE: EMPIRICAL STUDY OF FACTORS AFFECTING

    The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the value of the industry. The independent variables are investment opportunities, dividend policy, financial leverage, profitability. The population in this research is a non-financial industry listed on the IDX from 2017 to 2019. The illustrations for this research were selected using a purposive sampling procedure, and 200 illustrations were taken. Information analysis uses multiple regression procedures. The results of this research show that financial leverage, profitability and an independent board of commissioners affect the value of the industry, on the other hand, investment opportunities do not affect the value of the industry
